Stephen W. Oliver & Associates is a full-service training and human resources consulting practice offering training and organizational development programs and consultation.
All training, development, and consultation services are directly tied to organizational, departmental, and individual goals and initiatives. Training and development is essential for successful communication among staff in companies so that they can achieve organizational results efficiently and serve their customer’s needs.

Training programs are customized for senior leaders, managers, front-line staff, and intact teams within organizations. A variety of programs are offered include behavioral based training, compliance training, human resources management, front-line customer oriented programs, one-on-one coaching and consulting for managers and supervisors.

Successful training programs must have an element of evaluation and measurement. Stephen W. Oliver and Associates training programs provide excellent evaluation strategies of programs to help determine return on investment (ROI). These results are measured to improve staff communication, teamwork, and customer service.

Additionally, Stephen W. Oliver & Associates offers organizational development interventions, needs assessment of training programs, and coaching and consulting for managers and leaders to assist them in becoming more effective in achieving personal, department, and organizational results.

Facilitating team retreats, team meetings, and team performance management programs are additional services provided.

Services Provided

Needs Assessment – Full needs assessment of organizational, team, and individual issues and problems. This is done to determine the gaps in performance, to identify the best method for training delivery, the available resources, and to evaluate the need for change.
Feedback given on training needs from both customer and employee satisfaction surveys.
Assessments can be created to develop and implement cross-line business training
and strategic training services

Training and Development – In-class training programs provided to intact teams, business units, and groups of employees. Programs can be standardized to meet organization goals and objectives or can be customized to meet departmental issues.

Classroom based trainings are planned, developed, organized, conducted, and monitored to meet the results of the organization’s training initiatives. Multiple delivery methods of training include printed materials, in-class programs, team building, adult learning activities, teleconferencing, web-based and video-based training, and e-learning.

Instructional Design and Curriculum Development - Complete design and development of training programs and corporate learning materials. Development end- user documentation including reference materials, training manuals, training scripts, course agendas, course exercise, and train-the-trainer materials. All curriculum tided to organizational and job competencies. Development of evaluation forms for training programs. Tracking of training programs, training scorecards, and training databases. Statistics reports on ROI for training. Link to corporate training programs and initiatives.

Team Retreats – Facilitation of team retreats to map out strategic planning, goal setting and discuss organizational and departmental communication issues and challenges, as well as to celebrate team success. Facilitate client meetings.

Organizational Development Interventions – Team building, needs assessment, focus groups, problem resolution, performance improvement, assistance with customer service task forces, team facilitation.

Coaching of Leaders – One-on-one coaching and consulting of leaders for organizational effectiveness and change management. Personal consulting/coaching with managers and leaders on department performance solutions and personal effectiveness.

Compliance Training – Assist with compliance of Human Resources (HR) related laws and health care specific compliance. Assist with internal audits, prepare for training programs for compliance (e.g., Fair Labor of Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act, Sexual Harassment, Fire Safety, etc.)

Human Resources Management –Assist organizations, managers and supervisors with fundamental Human Resources (HR) questions and issues. Advise on HR issues including setting up an HR department, completing a needs analysis for HR services, review employment laws, review of HR policies and procedures, review of company employment applications, employee handbooks, training manuals, etc. Review of basic training programs and compliance.

On-Line Learning - Design and development on-line learning programs and develop evaluation tools for e-learning. Create activities for e-learning and web-based training programs. Facilitate on-line course, set-up and coordinate on-ling programs, training instructors for online classes and programs (train-the –trainer). Develop evaluation tools for e-learning outcomes. Track results for effectiveness of on-line learning programs.
