Partnering with Senior Leadership (the C-Suite) for Learning and Devleopment - Delivering Learning Programs in Multiple Ways
Partnering with the C-Suite
Something to consider when you are considering delivering training and learning programs in an organization - the trainer or facilitator must partner with the top level of the organization or the C-suite to successfully implement learning programs within an organization. He/ she must talk the language of the C-suite and get senior leaders to understand how learning can improve the organization and better affect both customers and the bottom line. If the trainer or facilitator talks the language of the C-suite and understands the corporate and organizational issues, hopefully he/she can gain support and resources to implement learning programs within the organization.
Multiple Delivery Methods of Learning
The trainer or facilitator must also constantly think of multiple ways or methods to deliver the learning to the learners in organizations. He/she must treat the learner as a customer and find as many different methods to deliver learning to those customers. The trainer/facilitator must go to the learner; whether it be in the operating room, the cafeteria, on the job worksite, in the classroom, or in a remote satellite office. The facilitator must come up with multiple ways to deliver learning programs, be it online, paper based, classroom instruction, note books, I-pods, Internet, Pod Casts; whatever methods that can reach busy people who have a variety of learning styles and learn in different ways and means.
